We are currently seeking a Manager/Supervisor Anesthesia Technician Services to oversee day-to day functioning of the department, supervising technical staff, monitoring inventory of supplies and equipment and ensuring that equipment is maintained/functions properly.

In addition you will:

  • Develop annual operating budget.
  • Develop contracts with outside vendors;
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance program (in house and by outside vendors) and emergency service calls;
  • Ensure that maintenance records on all equipment are maintained.
  • Evaluate new products and equipment;
  • Recommend purchase of new equipment and supplies based on information acquired through sites visits, technical journals and technical specifications.
  • Other administrative duties

We require:

  • Technical Diploma American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) two year approved program or two year college degree in an allied Health Care field required.
  • 3-5 years in an anesthesia technician role Preferred
  • 2 years Supervisory or Management required

Position Summary:

The Anesthesia Tech assists the anesthesiologists with the placement of patient monitoring lines and difficult intubations, as well as any other invasive or noninvasive procedures as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining, ordering, and stocking anesthesia supplies and equipment providing first line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting. Works closely with Anesthesia, the OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure that all equipment and supplies are within the required expiration dates, available, well maintained and clean.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $26.46 Midpoint $29.69 Maximum $32.92

Required Qualifications:

Must possess Anesthesia Technician Certification OR be currently enrolled in an accredited program

Ability to speak, read and follow directions in English

Availability to rotate shifts, take call and work weekends

Basic Life Support

Basic mathematical skills to quickly and accurately add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers and decimals manually or using a calculator

Demonstrated experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or a fast paced OR environment

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical computer software systems
