ASATT NewsASATT provides a wide range of news and other informational resources. 2022 ASATT Annual Report (download brochure)ACLS Certification Requirement For Certified Anesthesia TechnologistSince 2015, holding ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification has been a requirement outlined in the Scope of Practice (SOP) for all Cer.A.T.T. holders. This certification is a fundamental requirement to ensure the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care. As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards, ALL Certified Anesthesia Technologists (Cer.A.T.T.) are REQUIRED to have their ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification obtained through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross documented on their ASATT profile by December 31, 2024. Practical Experience PathwayThe demand for credentialed professionals in anesthesia technology is at an all-time high. ASATT's Practical Experience Pathway offers an alternative certification route for experienced Anesthesia Technicians. To qualify, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience at a Level 1 or Level 2 facility in the U.S., OR 7 years of experience at a Tertiary or Outpatient Facility. Additionally, candidates need to complete 40 Continuing Education credits in specific topics outlined in the Practical Experience Pathways Brochure. The ASATT SensorThe Sensor is published quarterly, the magazine features coverage of the latest topics in Anesthesia Technology, society, member and affiliated organization news, ASATT Academy news, updates from Program Directors and students of approved Anesthesia Technology programs across the country, and so much more!
