Happy Fall to you all,
What a beautiful part of the country to live in. It is so colorful this time of year up here with the leaves turning gold, red and oranges; breathtaking. If you have ever seen foliage up here this time of year, then you know exactly what I am referring to. I am hoping with more meetings going virtual, that eventually and hopefully sooner than later we can have an Actual in-person Meeting soon. I was hoping to get something lined up for the PGA that is held in New York City in the early part of December. With the new out breaks of the COVID-19 Delta Variant, I’m not so sure this is going to happen.
As you all know this year’s Annual Meeting is going to be virtual. The BOD as a group decided it was for the better interest of everyone to switch to a virtual conference for this year and next year in 2022, the conference will be in Fort Worth, Texas. We apologize if the change in venues will be an inconvenience for you. With Delta Variants of COVID, we were unsure how effective the meeting would be to put everyone at a much greater risk than staying home and watch it from your home or work. On that note, make sure you get registered for the meeting and earn up to 14 CEU’s if you attend all the lectures. Also, remember that you can attend ANY of the Regional Meetings, they are open to everyone.
I hate to sound like a broken record, however, make sure you start getting your CEU’s lined up if your Recertification expires this year. It is so much easier to do it on the ASATT Website, being a member, it is pretty much 5-10 minutes at the maximum. Start now and PLEASE do not wait until the last minute.
SAVE THE DATE: Do not forget to start making plans for next year’s Annual Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas in 2022. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this meeting. It is going to be one of the biggest in-person ASATT Meetings. You can expect updates as time goes along. Bring your cowboy hats and your get ready to network with a lot of amazing Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists.
