April is here and we are getting lots of rain, but so the saying goes, April Showers bring May flowers. We should have a wide array of May flowers for sure. I hope you all had a great Anesthesia Tech Week. My department had cake, lunch and gave me a card and a gift certificate for Anesthesia Week. A big Thank you to the Anesthesia Department from the White River Junction, Vermont VA Medical Center. If you have pictures from the celebration, please send them to me and I will make sure that they get posted on the ASATT home page.

Region 1 and Region 2 are going to be holding a Virtual Meeting in June, the more definitive date will be posted soon. If there are any topics that you would like, please email me or Region 2 Director. This meeting will be open to EVERYONE that needs the CEU’s and the price is right. If it is your year to re-certify, now is the time to start thinking about getting all your CEU’s. Another way to earn CEU’s is to write an article, being an active committee member, do Sensor Quizzes, ACLS and BLS courses.

The ASATT Educational Conference is on August 10th-12th, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. If you have not already planned on it, you may want to start planning. There are so many fun things planned and we can all thank Greg Farmer and whoever else has been involved, for their dedication and hard work put into this meeting. I would almost be willing to bet that no one will regret going to this meeting.

ASATT now has an Instagram page, please make sure you visit www.instagram.com/ASATT_OFFICAL you can get updates and information on various topics, post pictures and even join in on some of the giveaway’s. Thank you, Lauren Luna (Region 6) Director, for getting it up and is doing an outstanding job with it.

I hope you are staying Covid free, so far, my family has avoided it, how we have avoided it as the numbers are starting to rise again.
