Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the ACCM Assistant Administrator of Clinical Operations, manages the daily operations of the Anesthesia Critical Care Technicians and the Anesthesia Equipment Specialists, coordinating and providing technical support to the Providers of Anesthesia in all anesthetizing locations. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supervising and training technical staff, ensuring availability of equipment and supplies, establishing and coordinating all remote anesthesia, and can assist with direct patient care activities under the supervision of Providers of Anesthesia. Must have specific knowledge of pain management procedures, airway management protocols, general anesthesia drugs, and anesthesia equipment.
This position will directly supervise approximately 35 to 45 staff in total. This position will also coordinate provider complaints and incident reporting/patient safety issues within all OR areas inpatient and outpatient where there is an anesthesia presence. This position will be responsible for the training and overseeing the onboarding of all new staff. This position is clinical and the manager may be required to assist in the OR during staffing shortages or extenuating circumstances. 

As a Certified Anesthesia Tech, this position will provide support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence and adhering to all federal, state and local regulatory standards.

This position supports the clinical work being done in Lawrence General's state-of-the-art Santigati Center, which boasts seven spacious surgical suites, including the only hybrid operating room in the region.

Provides assistance to physicians, anesthesiologists, and staff in performing physiological monitoring, auto transfusion services, point of care, laboratory testing, and assist during intubation and line placement. Responsible for care, cleaning, and handling anesthesia equipment.
